Listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is designed for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique drive-specific information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
