This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair or data-recovery use. To confirm a replacement board will resolve your problem, follow our Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or programs the new board with the correct ROM data.
