You are purchasing the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large stock of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: replacement for data recovery or hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many of these circuit boards store unique parameters in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If physically transplanting the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
