This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB/logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may vary slightly from the photo. The board is intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will solve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board or reprogrammed. If a ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
