Product is the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most PCBs contain a ROM (memory) chip that holds drive-specific firmware/data required for normal operation. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
