Because we maintain a large inventory of similar PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Use: This circuit board is intended for hard drive repair or data-recovery work. Before ordering, confirm a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important technical note: Most WD PCBs contain unique parameters stored in a ROM (memory) chip that are required for proper drive operation. That ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you cannot transfer the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the task.
