This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is supplied for use in data recovery and hard drive repair tasks. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM memory chip that is required for correct drive operation; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either physically moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
