This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
