This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to our large stock, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repairs. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB is the correct fix by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many WD PCBs store drive-specific firmware/data in a ROM (memory) chip. That unique ROM information is required for the drive to operate correctly and must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprograms the board with the proper ROM data.
