This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before buying, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most drive PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly, so the ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board or otherwise transferred. If the ROM chip can be physically relocated, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. We offer a complimentary adaptation service for orders of $60 or more that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
