This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, use our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to confirm a PCB swap will address your issue, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored on a ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be moved to or programmed onto the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
