This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we keep a large stock, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before assuming a PCB swap will fix your drive, run our hard drive diagnostics and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique service data stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its data must be moved to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer professional should be able to transplant the ROM chip. For purchases of $60 or more we offer a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
