This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs include unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly, so the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
