This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB/logic board) only — no hard drive is included! Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the pictured item. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before buying, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and ensure part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most WD PCBs contain a unique ROM memory chip with essential drive data required for proper operation. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
