Sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no physical hard drive included. Due to large stock levels, the actual board shipped may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be relocated, a local computer technician should be able to do the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
