This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock many PCB units, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM memory chip that are required for correct drive operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
