This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery, this board should be matched to your failed drive before purchase. Most WD PCBs include a unique ROM memory chip that contains required firmware/data; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant.
