This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no drive is included. Because we stock many PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most WD drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer.
