Item includes the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is supplied. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery projects. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip; this data is required for correct operation. You must transfer the ROM chip or its data to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
