This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB, logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain a unique ROM ("memory") chip that stores essential data required for the drive to function; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can normally move the chip. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
