This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide to ensure the part matches your drive. Many drive PCBs contain unique configuration stored in a ROM "memory" chip. That information is required for correct hard drive operation. The ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred onto the replacement circuit board for the drive to function. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
