This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. We stock many PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photos. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Most drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to function. That ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — we will either move the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
