This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and drive repair work, this PCB is intended to replace a faulty logic board on compatible drives. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and follow the hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most drive PCBs store critical, unique data in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper operation and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
