This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: many hard drive circuit boards store unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If transferring the chip is feasible, a local computer technician should be able to perform the task. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
