This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement boards are intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Most drive circuit boards store unique information in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be moved or programmed onto the replacement board. A local computer technician can typically perform the physical chip transplant.
