Product is the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the physical hard drive is not included. Because we carry a large inventory, the actual circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the board will address your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs contain unique ROM data that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or programming the correct ROM data into it.
