Compatible examples include Cayenne(2009-2010 Year), 911(2008-2011 Year), Cayman(2009-2012 Year), and Boxster(2009-2012 Year). Please verify your car’s system before ordering. NOTE: This item is a CarPlay interface decoder box — it is NOT a replacement screen. Installation requires removing the dashboard and connecting the unit to the original CD host using the supplied wiring harness. Once installed, your factory system remains intact while gaining additional features. Switching: long-press the special car-knob button to toggle between the original radio interface and the CarPlay system. Returning to the original radio restores the previous behavior exactly as before. Smartphone integration: supports wireless and wired CarPlay, wireless and wired Android Auto, and MirrorLink. It also enables playback of video, TV news, photos and provides navigation. Voice command support includes Siri and Google voice control so you can keep your hands on the wheel while driving. Retains original vehicle functions: the decoder works with the original car knob controls. For steering-wheel controls, it supports the voice control button, Tel button and voice buttons (other steering-wheel buttons are not supported). Reverse gear handling is preserved — the unit supports the factory original reverse camera and parking radar, plus aftermarket reverse cameras and 360° camera systems. A front-view DVR camera with CVBS input is also supported. Installation notes: you must remove the dashboard to access and connect the wiring. Most issues stem from incorrect cable connections or settings; we can assist with troubleshooting. Confirm all functions are working before reassembling the dash.
