Overview: HMYC’s Toyota CarPlay module brings both wireless and wired CarPlay/Android Auto to Toyota head units running Touch 2 and Entune 2.0 (2014–2019). It also supports USB drive video playback, screen mirroring and rear camera input while preserving original OEM controls and the Toyota family-style head unit UI for a seamless look and feel. Audio: The unit offers dual-mode audio channels (Bluetooth audio and AUX). By routing sound through the vehicle’s original Bluetooth audio channel you get cleaner navigation prompts and music playback without unwanted noise. Phone and apps: Works with Siri, Maps, Phone calls, Messages, Music, Waze, Sygic, iTunes, Apple Music and other compatible apps via both wireless and wired connections. Vehicle compatibility: This module is only compatible with Toyota vehicles equipped with Touch 2 and Entune 2.0 from 2014–2019. Compatible models include Corolla, 4Runner, Prius, RAV4, Highlander, Sienna, Tacoma, Yaris, C-HR, Avalon, Tundra, Camry, and Auris. Incompatibilities: Not compatible with Corolla 86140-02540 Fujitsu units with a 7-inch display, 4Runner units that have a Pioneer head unit, vehicles featuring 360° panoramic reverse systems, or Prius models equipped with an 11.6-inch screen. Installation notes: Installing requires partial dashboard disassembly to access and connect the module’s cables. Important video note: Some Toyota screens accept only 480p video input, which can make the displayed image appear less sharp than the factory system.
