Portable aluminum enclosure designed for Air notebooks that accepts commercially available AHCI protocol hard disks and is compliant with NVMExpress. It also supports the use of NVME protocol hard disk in the market and specifically supports the use of nvme protocol for hard disk in 2015 (none of the previous old hard disk enclosures support nvme for hard disk). Interface and throughput: supports PCle 0Gen 3x2, up to 16Gb/s and supports PCle 1Gen 3x2, up to 16Gb/s. The enclosure recognizes UASP and TRIM commands to improve SSD read/write performance. Connection uses the USB3.2 standard with transfer speeds up to 20Gbps, and is backward compatible with USB3.1 and USB3.0.
